After Solidarity formed in 2013, it quickly became a vital hub of organizing, training, sharing resources, and networking for organizers and agitators in many areas of social justice and change. It is the first place that out-of-town organizers and first-time activists go to get connected with local organizations and efforts. Many folks come just for the Sedition Library, a radical library with 1,400 books.
Over a dozen organizations and collectives repeatedly used our donate-what-you-can space and equipment for work on environmental justice, immigration reform, radical artistic ventures, prison abolition and prisoner support, worker organizing and support, tenant rights, and anti-tar sands activism. Many people without any organizational affiliation have used our space for one-time events, film screenings and potlucks.
We aren’t a business, it’s a volunteer-run collective. If you support any part of our mission, please buy books from us, donate for space usage, or (best of all) become a Monthly Sustainer!
